Our goatskins offered for sale are of Sahelian, Mali or Niger origin,
coming from a goat breed called "Baa dian" (meaning goat in Dioula language).

The goats of this region have the peculiarity of being larger
because they are adapted to feed on the leaves of the trees, due to the lack of grass on the ground.

The skins are very often of uniform thickness, perfectly adapted to the assembly of djembes.
