Djembe in balafon wood :
Presence of slight cracks at the base of the foot. We offer protection at the base of the foot if you wish.
As the name suggests, the "Bala Yiri" (wood of venom, guénou or guéni) is used mainly for the manufacture of balafons.
Its characteristics make it a wood with very interesting acoustic properties.
These give the djembés carved in this essence a sonority close to that of Linké.
The balafon wood and the Linké are in our eyes the two best woods for the design of djembes.
This djembe is a perfect success, as much on the level of wood, its size, its proportions, its thickness and its finishes.
See the datasheet for more information on the characteristics of this djembe.
