Djembe in balafon wood :
As the name suggests, the "Bala Yiri" (wood of venom, guénou or guéni) is used mainly for the manufacture of balafons.
Its characteristics make it a wood with very interesting acoustic properties.
These give the djembes carved in this essence a sonority close to that of Linke.
The balafon wood and the Linke are in our eyes the two best woods for the design of djembes.
This djembe is a perfect success, as much on the level of wood, its size, its proportions, its thickness and its finishes.
See the datasheet for more information on the characteristics of this djembe.
